Entree Tbilisi (Victoria)

I visited a cosy bakery around lunchtime, at 12 PM. It wasn't packed, but there was a steady stream of customers. Given the small space, finding a seat can sometimes be challenging. The customer service could use some improvement, as only one person was attending to customers, leading to somewhat scattered service, though it wasn't terrible. I ordered a pistachio pain au chocolat and a beef pie, which together cost £10.

Here are a few things to note:

Facilities: There is no toilet available, so keep that in mind if you plan to stay and work on your laptop. Victoria Station is nearby for restroom needs, though this means you'll have to pack up your things. However, there are plugs for charging, making it a somewhat laptop-friendly café.

Ambiance: The bakery caught my attention with its attractive window display, a smart choice to stand out among other stores in the area.

Food:

  • Pistachio Pain au Chocolat: This was a delightful treat, filled with gooey, thick pistachio cream and topped with crushed pistachios. I enjoyed the generous filling, though I personally would have preferred a caramelized glazed crust for added sweetness. It was large, surprisingly filling, and worth the price.

  • Beef Pie: The pie was well-spiced and seasoned and a good savory option. However, I found it slightly overpriced for what it was. The warmth of the pie makes it tantalizing.

Overall, this small, cosy bakery in the heart of Victoria is a charming spot for a snack of sandwiches, drinks, and pastries. It's a nice alternative to the larger franchises in the area.

I will give it a 6.8 and will come back if I am in the area, but not in a rush and will not be putting this in my top to try list.
