When in Manchester

I recently took a whirlwind two-day trip to Manchester, and although my time was short, I packed in as many foodie experiences as I could. There were plenty of places I visited to treat myself, and a few I wish I’d had time to try!

Here’s where I indulged:

  1. Pollen Bakery – Pro tip: some days they’re closed (Mondays and Tuesdays), so plan ahead.

  2. Siop Shop – A cozy spot for some delicious baked goods.

  3. Pho Cue – Perfect for Vietnamese cravings.

  4. Federal Café Bar – A great spot for brunch or a caffeine fix.

  5. Mackie Mayor Food Court – A lively food hall with a variety of stalls to choose from.

  6. Companio Bakery – Amazing pastries with that fresh-baked aroma.

As I wandered the streets, I discovered some hidden gems, with long queues of people eagerly waiting to grab some irresistible bites. On my next visit, I’m definitely planning to hit these spots:

  • Rustica Sandwich Bar

  • Jenny’s Buffet

...and plenty more that I didn’t have a chance to jot down.

Manchester’s city center is brimming with quirky retro cafés, bakeries, and a fantastic selection of Asian eateries. After a day of indulging (let’s be honest, I have zero self-control when it comes to food), I rarely manage to save any for takeaway—not the best habit, but oh well!

Keep an eye on my upcoming food reviews for a deep dive into each spot. Also, if you have any must-try recommendations for my next Manchester adventure, let me know!
