How to eat what you want & be healthy at the same time
For a healthier lifestyle, while still enjoying everything you love, it's definitely a challenge. Being physically healthy inside and out takes a lot of discipline, especially for a massive food lover like me. I love cooking at home and trying out all sorts of recipes (with both wins and fails). But I also enjoy going out to eat, solo or with friends, and indulging until I'm satisfied—though my wallet has its limits, lol!
So, the big question is: how can I eat what I want and stay healthy at the same time? That’s why my body weight fluctuates—my mind is always wrestling with this question. To eat or to diet? That is the question.
My next focus is to try intermittent fasting again. It worked before, so I'll share more about that in a separate post. And then, my next step in eating what I want is to get my pretty self back in the gym now that I'm feeling up to it mentally. Keeping the unhealthy weight off and maintaining a balanced weight is key to enjoying life, along with a delicious and healthy food plan that you'll enjoy without feeling like you're missing out. The key is BALANCE. Keep an eye out for more updates on my balanced living journey.
But here are some quick questions for you to ponder: why is unhealthy food cheap and healthy food expensive? Most people can't afford pricey meals all the time. Why does the government do this to us? And another one: does cooking at home make food healthier? That's a topic for another day. Now, let me enjoy my home-cooked meal in peace! I am making Lamb chops with mashed potatoes. What will cook today?
